Choosing a pup

We work with each family to select a

puppy suitable for their lifestyle and

interests. We screen potential homes

carefully. We aim to provide both our

dogs and their families with a successful

lifelong relationship.

These pups do best with families who are active, willing to invest in training,

and have a large yard, acreage, or farm. It's important to us that our pups go

to homes that are suitable for German Shepherd personalities.

Before you get a puppy from us, we want to know about your family, your home,

activities you plan to do with the dog, and any previous dog-ownership experiences you have.

If you want to talk about our puppies and the process for owning one, please contact us!

Health

Our breeding dogs have certified hips and elbows through the OFA. We are confidant in the soundness of our pups and offer a two-year health guarantee should there be evidence of a genetic or hereditary condition.

Our pups stay with us and their extended dog family until they are at least eight weeks old. They are not kept in kennels but participate with us in our daily activities. They are socialized with children and adults. Pups are vet-checked, vaccinated, micro-chipped with their permanent ID number, and CKC registered in the buyer's name. Our pups are sold on non-breeding registrations.

Lifetime support

Our promise is to provide lifetime support. We can be called upon anytime for assistance, and we will work with the dog and owner to ensure their relationship is stable and balanced.

In the event that circumstances change, we ask owners to return their Northernbear dog to us. We do not allow our dogs to be surrendered to shelters, rescues, or be abandoned.

Esther is an amazing breeder who cares deeply about her puppies and the breed in general. This pup is incredible, loves kids, is a quick learner, and solid nerves. So happy with our dog.
